ITMs Move Beyond Video to Self-Service

ATM Marketplace recently published a Q & A with Hyosung highlighting how ITMs are moving beyond video to self-service. A growing number of Financial Institutions are leveraging ITM technology to meet customers’ changing expectations.

ITM’s offer numerous benefits such as 24/7 convenience and availability, an enhanced customer experience, advanced self-service transactions, expanded service hours and improved staff productivity.

When asked about primary characteristics of ITMs, Keith Lennard, VP of software at Hyosung, responded, “The primary characteristic of an ITM is the ability to provide advanced transactions on a self-service device, allowing consumers to bypass the branch for over 80% of all transactions.” He continued, “This allows financial institutions to move from one teller for every four ITMs to closer to one-in-fifteen.”

Hyosung ITMs enable customers to perform an astonishing number of different transactions (see graphic). On Hyosung ITMs, many of these advanced transactions can be performed independent of video teller interaction. However, if requested, the audio-video link adds a personal experience with your teller that’s private and focused on the customer.

Lennard described the role Hyosung plays in this space, “(Hyosung) now is the only company providing a complete solution set for branch transformation: ITM with core-connection, recycling, and TCRs.”
